Now that I've had some time to breathe it's time to update the pages, I've uploaded photos from last Sunday's Frank The Baptist show, put on by Hidden Treasure Music on the FTB facebook page. It was the best Chameleons show I've ever seen and we had a blast playing. The new songs (Which made up half of the set) were far better received than expected, good motivation to put out the new album. A big thanks to Ian P. Christ, Ina Diocan, Thomas Mixmeister for the sound, The Audience (Who were FAR too kind) and especially our cronies who got on stage for the sing along in "If I Speak". You'll see their mugs on the stage in the photos.

So the Armada is back in action working toward invading and infringing upon your reality with new sonic/aural nourishment for the soul.
The crew has been in the the studio rehearsing the songs for the next FTB album and demo/pre-production recording of the new songs is already under way.
Last night Mr Fez Wrecker laid down the guitar lines to the songs he will appear on in the next album. On fire, Mr. Wrecker, excellent job!

Telegram Frank will perform in NYC @ Underworld (Sullivan Room) with DJ Templar and other fine DJ's on the tables Wednesday December 22nd 2010.

Telegram Frank will then Perform in Berlin @ Monster Mash (Dazzle Klub) With Ragnar, Crawfish, and Roman at the DJ booth Thursday December 30th with Justin Stephens (Passion Play) on second guitar. This show will have new songs and a bit more of an electric feel than before.

More details to follow but first...

Frank the Baptist is Bucharest, Rumania next week on Friday the 12th.

Vienna Weekend

The Vienna show at The Viper Room was a Blast to play and we met and had fun with some very cool people.
We got to see some of Vienna and that was good as well... except for the fact that everything closes too early and the folks at our Pension wouldn't allow us to bring in guests. :) Vienna is a beautiful city, love the architecture.

I finally listened to an old traditional American song and Sea Shanty called "New York Gals" in it's entirety and nearly fell off my chair. This version was by Carl Peterson. Now... I'm not saying the lyrics are true (I love my hometown yankee gals) but they're definitely funny.

"Scars Forever" Saloon Version

A Saloon version of Frank the Baptist's "Scars Forever" that was recorded in The Speakeasy Berlin by Ragnar will be on the second volume of Thomas Thyssen's "Darkness Before Dawn"- sampler series and will be out just in time for this year's WGT and officially in stores two weeks afterwards (ca. mid-June). We let this one breathe a bit and I'm glad. The Restless Saloon Spectres of the Speakeasy whirl about on Piano, Guitar, Bass, drums, and vocals for the delight of poker table and the whiskey stained camptown girls... you were there, you know.

Thanks to the Danse Macabre Promoters and crew in Magdeburg. Glad to help them kick off on their maiden voyage. The dressing room spread and catering was excellent, complete with JW Green and vegan caviar (remind me to put that on the rider). Got to meet some fine new folks and was happy to see much of the audience knew the lyrics and sang along. A fun time. Sorry to hear that Peter Heppner had to cancel his show at the Factory (down the street from us) last night, gute besserung!
